Philosophy of Care:

The Board of Directors has resolved and Meridian Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. believes that each person deserves to be treated with respect and to be empowered to direct the care s/he receives. Care is delivered in a culturally competent and multidisciplinary manner. Individualized services are provided in the least restrictive environment possible with the goal of increasing quality of life in a manner that allows effective integration into the community, activities and lifestyle of choice.

Toward these ends, Meridian delivers a range of individualized, clinical and supportive social services designed to facilitate recovery and resilience utilizing evidence-based practices such as individual, family, and group therapy and psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, psychosocial rehabilitation, family support, supported housing and employment, and psychopharmacology. Key goals are enhancing motivation to learn and modification of behaviors in order to support the highest achievable quality of life.

The following principles for design of services are established: Programs are

1. To provide for easy, timely access to appropriate services.
2. To provide appropriate, quality service regardless of clients' ability to pay, consistent with approved fee and discount schedules, and within MBH's available resources.
3. To provide care and services without regard to race, creed, color, national/ethnic origin, age, sex, marital status, disability, religion, or socioeconomic status.
