Residential Treatment Services
Joyce House, Women's Group Home
Joyce House is a Group Home providing a semi-independent, minimally structured group setting for eight women ages 18 – 54 who have attained most of the skills required for independent living and require minimal staff support. Staff is available from 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. Monday through Friday. Residents are responsible for their own medications, including obtaining refills as needed.
Joyce House provides opportunities for participation in Living Skills groups, Social Skills groups, Rehabilitation Services that support the utilization of community resources. Joyce House offers a home-like environment intended to foster security. Consistent with best practices and the Recovery Model, the length of stay at Joyce House is flexible and varies according to the residents' goals and objectives. An average length of stay is from six to thirty months. The ultimate goal of the Program is to assist the resident to transition into completely independent housing.
Joyce House is located in Alachua County and is accessible to any person who resides in the Meridian Service area: Alachua, Bradford, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Suwannee and Union Counties.
